What to do in Corvallis?

Well, the wedding weekend is da Vinci Days in Corvallis!

What else? If you've got suggestions, please leave a comment ...

We certainly recommend a hike up to Bald Hill ...

Or if you want something (much) more leisurely, we recommend a walk around the OSU campus and out to the Irish Bend Covered Bridge!

Or if you want something (much) more challenging do 'em both :-)

Ever heard of Letterboxing or Geocaching? We've got friends who are abuzz about these new adventure opportunities ...

Saturday mornings feature a "Farmer's Market" that you might want to check out ...

If you're flying into PDX, as you make your way from Portland to Corvallis, one option is to stop and visit The Oregon Garden ... or Silver Falls State Park ...

We're about an hour from the Oregon Coast ... closest beach is Nye Beach ... and there are several other options both north and south of there ... and there is the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport also.

If you're driving up from California, you can swing by Crater Lake ... here's what it looked like last time we saw it (while flying home from a visit to Stockton) :-)

ADDENDUM ... here's some pics from a recent trip up into the Cascades just east of Eugene ... we went to Sahalie and Koosah Falls and Belknap Hot Springs ... AWESOME places to be ... and pretty easy to get to!
